The Cincinnati Cyclones announced today that the team has re-signed forward Zack Andrusiak to a Standard Player Contract for the 2022-23 ECHL season.

Andrusiak, 24, burst onto the scene with the Cyclones after being acquired in a trade from the Idaho Steelheads last season. The Yorkton, Saskatchewan native performed well over a point-per-game pace with the 'Clones, spending his minutes on the team's first line with Justin Vaive and Jesse Schultz. 

"I knew I was coming back to Cincinnati," said Andrusiak. "I loved it there with my teammates, the coaches, the fans, the city; just everything was great and it was a fit for me. This was an easy decision. I knew if I was playing in the ECHL again that I would be playing for Cincinnati."

"We're excited that Zack is coming back to the Cyclones," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Payne. "He stepped up for us when we needed him to. He's a threat on the ice in all situations. He's got a hard shot and gets where he needs to be on the ice to get those shots off. I look forward to seeing his continued growth with us this season."

• Scored 20 goals and 45 points in just 34 with the Cyclones last season. Began the year with Idaho and totaled 29 goals, 39 assists, and 68 points across 70 games. 

• Received a two game call-up to the AHL, making his debut for the Tucson Roadrunners March 5, 2022 against Bakersfield.

• Broke into pro hockey with Steelheads in 2019-20 season, registering 10 goals and 23 points through 51 games in his rookie season.

• Spent the 2020-21 season with Orlando. Tallied four points in 22 games. 

• Spent parts of four seasons in the WHL, primarily with Seattle. Won a WHL Championship with Thunderbirds 2017. Amassed 149 points (80 goals, 69 assists) in 202 WHL games.
