T.J. Fast Recalled to Rochester
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that defenseman T.J. Fast has been recalled to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Fast, a 2005 Los Angeles Kings second round draft choice, will make his second trip to Rochester this season. In late January, he logged five games with the Americans and went scoreless with a pair of penalty minutes. The 23-year-old has 69 games of Triple-A hockey experience over his three-year pro career, amassing six points (1 goal, 5 assists) and 16 penalty-minutes in that span. This season with the Cyclones, the Calgary, Alberta native leads all team defenseman in scoring (27 points) and ranks ninth among all ECHL rear guards. His six power play goals are fourth-most among the league’s “d-men.”
Fast will the join the Americans on the ice this Friday night as they host the Toronto Marlies at 7:35pm.
Cincinnati, meanwhile, embarks on a 13-day, seven-game road trip beginning TONIGHT with the opener of three against the South Carolina Stingrays. The opening face-off at North Charleston Coliseum will be at 7:05pm with pregame coverage starting on the Cyclones Radio Network at 6:50pm.
The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena on Friday, March 25 when they host the Toledo Walleye at 7:30pm.
