Rochester Recalls Defenseman T.J. Fast
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that defenseman T.J. Fast has been recalled to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Fast, a 23-year old Calgary, Alberta native will be making his third visit to the Triple-A level this season. Collectively in 2010-11, the six-foot, 194-pound rear guard has gone pointless with four penalty minutes in nine games with Rochester. Now in his third professional season, Fast has 73 career-games of AHL experience with one goal and five assists in that span.
As a member of Cyclones this year, the six-foot rear-guard leads team defensemen in scoring (9 goals, 18 assists = 27 points) and is tied for fifth among ECHL blue-liners with six power play goals. Fast will be on the roster with the Americans as they open up a three-game series with the Manitoba Moose starting tomorrow night.
The Cyclones, meanwhile, will wrap up their 2010-11 road schedule with another 10:30am meeting against the Kalamazoo Wings this Wednesday morning at Wings stadium. Fans can hear all the action on the Cyclones Radio Network starting at 10:15am.
The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena this Friday, April 1 for City Barbeque Fan Appreciation Night.
