BROWN BRINGING 'ROUGH AND TOUGH STYLE' BACK TO CYCLONES
The Cincinnati Cyclones announced today that the team has re-signed defenseman Graeme Brown for the 2022-23 ECHL season.
Brown, 26, is the third defenseman to sign with Cincinnati this off-season, joining Dajon Mingo and Josh Burnside. Brown will physically be with the team at the start of the season, but is not expected to play until December.
"The fans in Cincinnati are amazing," said Brown. "They love that rough and tough style and I'm happy that I can bring that to the table. I appreciate the fans and the amount of fans we get is incredible. Personally, it sucked for me at the end of the season going down with an injury and missing game seven [against Toledo]. It's been a long process but I'm feeling good now and getting better each day. I'm hoping I can get my first game in December and once I'm 100%, I'll be ready."
"Graeme was a warrior for us last season," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Payne. "He battles for his teammates every night and you see he plays the game with intensity. We wish the circumstances were different and that he'd be ready to go for us on day one, but I have no doubt that once Graeme Brown is at full strength he will be a big presence for us on the ice."
