Cyclones Trade Jack Van Boekel For Luc Brown
The Cyclones have acquired Idaho Steelheads forward Luc Brown in exchange for defenseman Jack Van Boekel. In a separate transaction, Cincinnati has traded goaltender Angus Redmond to the Newfoundland Growlers.
Van Boekel began his rookie season with the Cyclones, skating in 34 games while collecting three goals and 13 points. He led the team with 103 penalty minutes. Redmond was acquired earlier in the season and went 2-2-0 in five appearances with the 'Clones.

- Attended University of Alaska-Anchorage his senior year after spending previous three seasons at Union College. Wore a letter for UAA, posting 20 points in as many games.
- Four year tenure with Wellington Dukes in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Was teammates with Cyclones defenseman Justin Bean.
- 2015-16 OJHL MVP and named to First All-Star Team after accumulating 42 goals and 91 points in 51 games.
