CYCLONES OUTSHOOT BRAMPTON IN ROAD LOSS
Vaive Nets Lone Tally in First of Two Between the Two Teams
Brampton, ON- The Cincinnati Cyclones (4-2-2-0) fell to the Brampton Beast, 6-1, on Saturday night. Forward Justin Vaive scored the lone gal for Cincinnati.
Brampton’s offense was on display early in this one, getting a pair of first period goals from forward David Vallorani, and lone markers from forwards Anthony Beauregard and Nathan Todd to take a 4-0 lead through 20 minutes.
Cincinnati got on the board early in the second when Vaive skated in on a breakaway and beat Beast goaltender Etienne Marcoux, cutting the Cyclones deficit to 4-1. Brampton was not deterred and regained their four-goal advantage when Brandon Marino scored midway through the frame to give the Beast a 5-1 lead through two periods. The third saw Brampton tack on one more from Erik Bradford to solidify the Beast’s 6-1 victory.
The Cyclones outshot Brampton, 35-22, with goaltender Jonas Johansson stopping 20 in the loss. The two teams wrap up their weekend series on Sunday afternoon, with the face-off scheduled for 2:00pm ET.
