Tonight's Matchup: The Cyclones are back on the home ice tonight in hopes closing out the 2014 portion of their home slate with a win as they welcome in the Evansville IceMen to U.S. Bank Arena. This lengthy season series is just beginning with both teams splitting the first two meetings. All-time, the Cyclones have posted a 15-8-0-2 record against their Hoosier State foes.

Scouting the IceMen: Dwight Mullins’ club got trounced 5-1 by the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday night, dropping their ninth game out of the last ten and sit two points back of the ‘Clones in the North Division standings. Brandon Wong and Kale Kerbashian have been the biggest offensive weapons for the IceMen this season, notching 21 and 20 points respectively. Yet, they combine for a dismal -14 plus/minus rating coming into the night. Rookie Chris Driedger has seen the bulk of the action between the pipes, amassing a 6-11-1-2 record with a 3.46 goals-against average. Fellow rookie Branden Komm is winless in five appearances this season, going 0-1-1-1 with a 2.85 GAA.

Last Time Out: Cincinnati captain David MacDonald earned his first game-winning goal of the season just 1:59 into overtime as the Cyclones defeated the Fuel by a 2-1 final score in front of 4,428 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Saturday night. It was the first extra-session victory for the ‘Clones this year. Goaltender Sam Brittain sparkled in the win, turning aside 32 shots to earn his fourth win of the season.

Spreading the Wealth: Cincinnati continues to be an offense-by-committee this season - with all but two players on the roster having notched a point. What’s even more impressive is that, of Cincinnati’s 11 wins, the game-winning goal has come from eight different sources. Byron Froese, Christiaan Minella, and Stephan Vigier lead the club with two such strikes.

The 200 Club: Cyclones forward Christiaan Minella will reach a personal milestone this week. He needs just two more games to reach 200 in his professional career. The Cincinnati native has collected 84 points (45g, 39a) since coming out of the University of Notre Dame in 2010-11. 27 of those points have come in a Cyclones jersey.
