Cyclones Unveil 2013-14 Schedule
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today their 2013-14 regular season schedule.
The Cyclones will host the 2013 First Face-Off at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday, October 19 when they welcome in the Wheeling Nailers at 7:30pm. It will be the second year in a row that the teams meet to open the season. Prior the game, the Cyclones will hold the third-annual Power Play 5K Run/Walk to benefit Pink Ribbon Girls.
Jarrod Skalde’s club will battle each of the 12 Eastern Conference teams at least once throughout the course of the regular season. Cincinnati’s most frequent foe will be the Wheeling Nailers, who it will play a total of 12 times between October and April. The Cyclones face Kalamazoo and Toledo 11 times each while meeting the Toledo Walleye a total of 10 times.
The daily breakdown of games is as follows:
Mondays: 1 game (1 home, 0 away)
Tuesdays: 5 games (4 home, 1 away)
Wednesdays: 12 games (7 home, 5 away)
Thursdays: 2 games (1 home, 1 away)
Fridays: 22 games (9 home, 13 away)
Saturdays: 23 games (13 home, 10 away)
Sundays: 7 games (1 home, 6 away)
For the first time since the 2009-10 campaign, the Cyclones will host a Sunday matinee on November 24 at 3:00pm. In addition, there will be another pair of day games in this year’s schedule. The 2013 Education in Hockey Day will take place at U.S. Bank Arena on Tuesday, November 19 against the Evansville IceMen at 10:30am. On Monday, February 17, the Cyclones will celebrate President’s Day with the Meijer Kids Club game at 2:00pm against the Kalamazoo Wings. All other home contests are scheduled to begin at 7:30pm with doors opening one-hour prior.
