Cyclones Radio Network to Broadcast on FM 100.3 The FAN
The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators announced today that they will broadcast road games of the 2012-13 season on FM 100.3 The Fan beginning this Friday, January 4. In addition, they will also carry all Cyclones Kelly Cup Playoff Games.
WCFN, FM 100.3 The FAN launched at midnight on January 2, 2013 as Cincinnati’s first sports talk station on the FM dial. The FAN will be affiliated with the new CBS Sports Radio Network, which also launched on January 2nd. The FAN’s weekday programming line up is anchored from 6-9AM by Tom Gamble Talking Sports. Gamble is a long-time Cincinnati sports radio personality who co-hosted the popular show The Two Angry Guys for more than a decade. The FAN’s weekday line up also includes John Feinstein from 9AM-Noon, Jim Rome from Noon-3PM and former ESPN personality Doug Gottleib from 3-6PM.
Nick Brunker, who is in his third season with the club, calls the play-by-play action on the Cyclones Radio Network. The inaugural broadcast on FM 100.3 The FAN will feature the Cyclones vs. Fort Wayne Komets. Pregame coverage of will begin at 7:40pm with the opening face-off to follow at 8:00pm.
“We’re very excited to bring the action of Cyclones hockey to the area’s newest sports station,“ said Cyclones General Manager Kristin Ropp. “This great partnership will allow our passionate fans to hear every second of the action while the team is away from U.S. Bank Arena.”
The Cyclones will return to the ice at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday, January 5 when they play host to the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:30pm. It will be Throwback Night where fans can purchase $8 tickets while enjoying $1 John Morrell Hot Dogs, Donatos Pizza, Soda, and Beer! Plus, the game will also feature the annual Teddy Bear Toss; fans will be encouraged to bring a new or gently loved stuffed animal to throw onto the ice after the Cyclones first goal.
