Cyclones Goaltender of the Year: Brian Foster
After the Cyclones Nation Vote...your Goaltender of the Year is Brian Foster.
This is the second award for Brian this year...as he was also chosen as the Cyclones Rookie of the Year. He was integral part to the team's success down the stretch and was one of the hottest goaltenders during the month of March. Collectively, he earned an 11-6-1 record with a 2.30 goals-against average.
Here are some of Foster's season highlights:
- Earned first ECHL playoff win on 4/5 at Reading (22 saves).
- Started in 12-straight games from 3/11-3/30.
- Career-high 47 saves on 3/23 at KAL...most stops by CIN goalie in shutout since team resumed ECHL play in 2006.
- Recalled to AHL Rochester for first time on 3/22.
- Earned first professional shooutout win on 3/13 at SC (stopped all 5 shooters).
- Earned first professional shutout on 3/12 at SC (29 saves).
- Earned first ECHL win in debut on 2/19 vs. TOL (25 saves).
