Brian Foster Back in Net for Cincinnati

KALAMAZOO, Michigan – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that rookie goaltender Brian Foster has been reassigned to the club by the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

Foster, a rookie from Pembroke, New Hampshire, made his first-career trip to the Triple-A level yesterday  – albeit for just one day.  He served as the backup goalie in the Rochester Americans 2-1 loss against Lake Erie at Quicken Loans Arena last night.

The Florida Panthers fifth round pick in 2005 had played in seven consecutive games for the Cyclones and has amassed a 2.32 goals-against average in 14 overall appearances.  His numbers are currently third-best out of any active ECHL goalie with at least ten games played this season.  Before turning pro, Foster was a two-year starter at the University of New Hampshire where he compiled a career record of 40-29-13 with a 2.82 goal-against average.

Foster will start later today as the Cyclones collide with the Kalamazoo Wings in a special 10:30am opening face-off from Wings Stadium.

The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena this Friday, March 25 when they host the Toledo Walleye at 7:30pm.  It will be the final Kids Eat Free Night of the season, as all fans ages 2-12 will receive a FREE meal courtesy of John Morrell, Sunkist, and Sun Drop.  2010-11 single game and discounted group tickets are available now.  2011-12 season tickets are on sale NOW!  For more information, call 513.421.PUCK (7825) or visit CyclonesHockey.com.
