TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
Starting tonight, the Cyclones will become awfully familiar with the Toledo Walleye, as the two teams square off in three of their next four games.  With both teams tied for 3rd place in the North Division coming into tonight, these next few meetings are very important.  Toledo is the one North Division team that gave the Cyclones trouble last season.  Cincinnati went 20-15-3 against North Division opponents in 2009-10, but only 3-7-1 against the Walleye.

SCOUTING THE WALLEYE:

Toledo will visit Cincinnati for the first time this season after taking a 3-2 decision at Huntington Center on October 29.  The Walleye and Cyclones are tied for 3rd place in the North Division with 7 points each.  This past Saturday, Toledo snapped a three game losing streak by defeating Kalamazoo in overtime, 3-2.  Peter LeBlanc leads the Walleye with 7 points while Evan Rankin, Randy Rowe, and Zack Torquato are each tied for 2nd in scoring with 6 points a piece.  Scott Campbell has assumed the starting role between the pipes for Toledo since Jordan Pearce got called up to Grand Rapids.  So far this season, Campbell has a 2-2-0-1 record with a 3.05 goals-against average.

EHGOETZ, STARLING NAMED TO ECHL ALL-DECADE TEAM:

This afternoon, the ECHL announced that Cyclones captain Barret Ehgoetz and former Cyclones assistant captain Chad Starling were voted as members of the ECHL All-Decade Team.  Now in his sixth season of ECHL hockey, Ehgoetz has 271 career-points - 241 of them with the Cyclones.  Starling, an ECHL player since 2001, won the 2008 Kelly Cup with Cincinnati and has logged 512 games in the premiere “AA” hockey league.  Starling’s two best seasons came as a member of the Cyclones...41 points (6 goals, 35 assists) in 133 games in the Queen City.

ANOTHER 'CLONE HEADED TO THE "A":

Forward Mike Bartlett was called up to the American Hockey League on Monday afternoon.  It’s the third straight year Bartlett has seen time at the Triple-A level since beginning his pro career in 2008-09.  He is the fifth different Cyclones player to have made an appearance on an AHL roster this season.
