YOGAN RETURNS TO CINCINNATI

Top Prospect Also Reassigned, Both Expected in Tuesday’s Line-up
Cincinnati, OH- Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald has announced that forward Andrew Yogan has signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) for the 2016-17 season. Yogan returns for his third stint with the Cincinnati Cyclones after spending 10 games early this season with HC Bolzano in Europe totaling a goal and six assists in that time.
He was a large piece to Cincinnati’s success last season as he totaled 43 points (15g, 28a) in 34 games for the Cyclones. He also saw time with the Iowa Wild, St. John’s IceCaps, and Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL) where he accounted for four goals and seven assists in 35 games. Yogan spent four games of the 2014-15 season in Cincinnati as well and amassed seven points (2g, 5a) in that time.
Drafted in the fourth round by the New York Rangers in 2010, he is averaging over a point per game during his ECHL career, accounting for 77 points (33g, 44a) in 69 ECHL contests with the Cyclones and the Greenville Road Warriors. In 2013-14, Yogan led the Road Warriors to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they fell, 4 games to 2, to the Cyclones. He recorded seven goals and 11 assists in 17 playoff games that season, leading the team in scoring.
Since turning pro in 2012, Yogan has spent the majority of his time in the AHL, seeing time with the Connecticut Whale/Hartford Wolf Pack and San Antonio Rampage, along with the Wild, Crunch, and IceCaps. In 167 career AHL games, Yogan has accounted for 26 goals and 25 assists for 51 points.
Prior to turning pro, the Coral Springs, FL, native spent parts of five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Erie Otters, Peterborough Petes, and Windsor Spitfires. In 240 career OHL games Yogan amassed 96 goals and 91 assists for 187 points.
In a separate roster move, the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Cincinnati Cyclones have reassigned forward Justin Kirkland to Cincinnati.
Drafted by the Cyclones’ National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate Nashville Predators in the third round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Kirkland is coming off of a stellar career in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he spent parts of five seasons with the Kelowna Rockets. In 199 career games with the Rockets, the Camrose, AB, native accounted for 169 points (71g, 98a) along with 140 penalty minutes.
