CYCLONES SEND WEINSTEIN TO SOUTH CAROLINA
Move Completes Trade from February
Cincinnati, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones have sent defenseman Steve Weinstein to the South Carolina Stingrays. The move satisfies the “Future Considerations” portion of the trade for forward Colin Mulvey from February 12.
A native of Los Angeles, CA, Weinstein had a solid rookie campaign in 2015-16, accounting for three goals and 19 assists in 52 games played. Weinstein also tallied a goal in two playoff games for the Cyclones.
Mulvey made a strong impact in Cyclones red and black, totaling 20 points (8g, 12a) in 25 games with Cincinnati. He had six multi-point efforts for the Cyclones, including a pair of three-assist games, and a two-goal performance in the 3-2 shootout loss to the Indy Fuel on February 27. The Worcester, MA native also dished out a pair of assists in seven playoff games for the 'Clones.
