DOWNING, WHITNEY SELECTED AS FANTASY TEAM, GOLDEN GOALIE PARTICIPANTS
Duo to Wear Special Jerseys at an Upcoming Home Game
Cincinnati, OH- The ECHL League Office has announced the winner from each team on the 2015-16 ECHL Fantasy Team, presented by The MeiGray Group, as well as the goaltenders who will be participating for each of the League’s 28 teams in the Golden Goalie Program. Amongst the participants are Cyclones forward Jack Downing, and goaltender Brandon Whitney.
Downing has been a key offensive force through the first 31 games of the season, ranking third on the team in scoring, tallying a team-leading 14 goals, and adding nine assists for 23 total points.
Whitney has appeared in 12 games this season, recording a 6-5-0-0 record, along a 3.14 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage.
Fans had the opportunity to vote for one player on each team, and that player will wear a special Fantasy Team jersey at an upcoming home game. A goaltender from each team was also selected, and he too will wear a specially-designed jersey at an upcoming home game.
Each of the Fantasy Team skater and MeiGray goaltender jerseys will be available for bid through The MeiGray Group. Jerseys will be available for bid starting on March 3 and running through March 24.
