YOGAN GETS CALLED UP, CYCLONES RECEIVE THREE
Roster Moves Finalized Prior to Second Game of the Season
CINCINNATI, OH-The Cincinnati Cyclones (1-0-0-0) have announced that forward Andrew Yogan has been loaned to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Yogan was a staple on the scoresheet in last Saturday’s season opener, dishing out three assists in Cincinnati’s 5-1 win over the Toledo Walleye. This marks the second time that the Coral Springs, FL, native has received a call-up during his time in his Cincinnati career, as he was called up by the San Antonio Rampage after four games and seven points (2g, 5a) last season.
In separate roster moves, the Cyclones received a trio of players from their AHL affiliate Milwaukee Admirals. Players sent to Cincinnati include defenseman Jonathan Diaby, and forwards Max Gortz and Joe Pendenza
Both Diaby and Pendenza spent time in Cincinnati last season. Diaby suited up in five Cyclones games however did not register a point. He was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Pendenza appeared in 13 games a season ago, tallying three goals and four assists for seven points.
Gortz spent last season with Frolunda HC in Sweden. He appeared in 53 games, accounting for 28 points (14g, 14a). In 61 career games with Frolunda HC, he has tallied 34 points (20g, 14a). He is a 2012 sixth round selection of the Predators.
