FRIDAY, MARCH 13 - 7:30pm vs. ORLANDO
CYCLONES BOBBLEHEAD NIGHT

Tonight's Matchup: The Cyclones are set to open a critical month of March as the battle for the four North Division playoff slots remains closer than ever. Tonight, they open their week-long swing through the Sunshine State with a tussle against the Orlando Solar Bears. Orlando took both meetings with Cincinnati back in November with each being decided by two goals or less.

Scouting the Solar Bears: Vince Williams’ club has earned points in five consecutive games and are still trying to claw their way back into playoff contention. Coming into tonight, they sit seven points out of a potential postseason slot. Diminutive forward Jacob Cepis currently leads Orlando in scoring with 47 points (12g, 35a) in 41 games this year. Denver Manderson has also been a steady contributor for the Solar Bears, amassing 44 tallies (16g, 28a) in as many tilts in 2014-15. Garret Sparks has been their leading man in net, earning a 13-6-2-0 with an ECHL fourth-best 2.47 goals-against average. Former Cyclone Joe Howe continues to be a nomad this season by joining Orlando, his fourth different ECHL club this year. Overall, Howe is 7-4-0-3 with an 3.46 GAA.

Last Time Out: A night of power play prowess helped the Cyclones down the IceMen by a 4-2 final score in front of 7,616 at the Ford Center. Brett Wysopal enjoyed a season-high three assists in the game as Cincinnati converted twice on five man-advantage chances.

Squeaky Clean: The 2014-15 Clones are on pace to be one of the least-penalized teams in club history. They own the fifth-fewest average penalty minutes per game of any ECHL team this year and are on pace to post their second-fewest PIMS since returning to league play in 2006.

Four Score...and Win: Cincinnati’s magic number has seemed to be “four” this year. When reaching the four goal plateau, the Clones are a staggering 16-0-0-1.
