NEXT HOME GAME
FRIDAY, JANUARY 23 - 7:30pm vs. EVANSVILLE
PARROTHEAD NIGHT

Tonight's Matchup: After a convincing 4-0 win over Evansville on Wednesday, the Cyclones are back on the road tonight as they make their final trip to Kalamazoo this season. The two rivals have split the 2014-15 series thus far, with three wins apiece and after tonight will only meet two more times all year.

Scouting the Wings: Nick Bootland’s club has been idle this week since claiming a 3-0 win last Saturday against the Cyclones. Coming into the weekend, Kalamazoo sits eight points back of Cincinnati in the North Division race. Rookie forward Curtis Valk has maintained his team lead in points all season long, tallying 27 (11g, 16a) in 25 games while Nathan Longpre has contributed 24 points (9g, 15a) in 29 contests. Ludwig Blomstrand, meanwhile, has been the biggest weapon against the Clones this year; in six match-ups, he’s collected seven points (4g, 3a). Goaltender Joel Martin, who picked up the win last weekend vs. Cincy, is 10-8-1-1 this year with a 2.76 goals-against average while Scott Munroe is unbeaten with a 3-0 record and a 3.32 GAA.

Last Time Out: On the strength of a two-point night from team captain David MacDonald and some outstanding defense, the Cyclones routed the IceMen by a 4-0 final score in front of 4,094 at U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday night.

Middle Period Dominance: The Cyclones continue to stifle teams in a big way during the second period of games this season. Their 43 goals-for are sixth-most among any ECHL team while they lead the entre league with just 18 goals-against.

Century Club: Cyclones forward Josh Shalla has been a consistent weapon throughout his career. On January 3, his multi-point game pushed him into the team lead in points this season and gave him more than 100 in his pro career. He owns 54 goals and 47 assists since coming out of Saginaw (OHL) and will reach 100 games in his Cyclones playing career tonight.
