Brittain, Vigier Return to Cyclones
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that goaltender Sam Brittain has been reassigned to the club by the Panthers while forward Stephan Vigier has been returned from loan to San Antonio.
Brittain, Florida's fourth-round draft pick in 2010, spent this past week with the Panthers as the back-up goaltender. This season for Cincinnati, the 22-year-old has amassed a 6-5-0-1 record with a 2.79 goals-against average. He was named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for his work from Dec 22-28, when he posted a 1-0 record and a 0.97 GAA.
Vigier (VEE-zhay), the Notre Dame, Manitoba native earned his first-career AHL promotion on December 27 - proceeding to skate in six games for the San Antonio Rampage. During his brief stint at the Triple-A level, the 25-year-old posted a pair of assists and four penalty minutes.
Both Brittain and Vigier will join the Cyclones tonight as they hit the road for a Friday night match-up against the Indy Fuel. The puck drop is set for 7:35pm with pregame coverage on the Cyclones Radio Network beginning at 7:15pm. Fans can also WATCH the game live at the Game Time Sports Bar & Grill in Cheviot.
