CYCLONES WINTER HAT NIGHT

Tonight's Matchup: After rallying to earn a point against Utah on Wednesday, the Cyclones return to divisional action tonight as they welcome the Fort Wayne Komets to U.S. Bank Arena for the second time this season. The Komets won a back-and-forth affair in Downtown Cincinnati by a 5-4 shootout final last month to open this seven-game season series.

Tonight's Promotion: Cyclones Kids T-Shirt Night - The first 1,500 fans ages 2-12 will receive a FREE Cyclones T-shirt featuring goaltender Rob Madore courtesy of The Plastic Surgery Group!

Scouting the Komets: Winners of three straight and seven out of their last ten, Gary Graham’s club ranks atop the North Division and the ECHL as a whole with a 14-4-0 record. Shawn Szydlowski paces the club and ranks tied for 7th in the ECHL in coring with 20 points (9g, 11a) in 18 games. Defenseman James Martin has also been a strong contributor from the blue line, leading all rear guards with 16 tallies (3g, 13a) in 18 contests. Goaltender Pat Nagle has led the way in net for the Komets this season, earning a 9-3-0 record with a 2.46 goals-against average and a 90.7% save percentage.

Last Time Out: Danick Paquette’s goal in the fourth round of a shootout proved to be the difference maker as the Grizzlies escaped with a 4-3 win over the Cyclones in front of 1,644 at U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday night. Rookie Kevin Sullivan netted his first professional goal in the tilt while Rob Madore played in his 100th professional game.

Goin’ Streaking: Cincinnati’s top offensive line has strung together some very impressive numbers of late. Byron Froese has notched points in eight consecutive games while Josh Shalla has scored goals in five straight home contests. The other player on the line, Zach Budish, has tallied points in three of his last five.

Balanced Attack: The Cyclones have relied on the entire roster to generate points this season. All but four players on the active roster have put their name on the scoresheet at least once during the 2014-15 campaign.
