Tonight's Matchup: After securing a 3-2 weekend opening win last night, the Cyclones battle the Mallards one last time before closing out their brief two-game season series here in Moline, Illinois. It will mark the last regular season road game against the Western Conference in 2014-15.

Scouting the Mallards: Terry Ruskowski’s club is back to an even 2-2 record after last night’s defeat, placing them tied for second in the seven team Central Division. Defenseman Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel continues to pace the Mallards on offense, notching two goals and three assists in his first four games. Rookie Pearce Eviston is close on his heels with three assists. Evan Mosher, who made 28-saves in a losing effort on Friday, is now 1-1 with a 2.91 goals-against average. Boston College alum Parker Milner has also seen some action in the early going, winning his only appearance with a 2.00 GAA.

Last Time Out: A two point night from Joe Basaraba and Josh Shalla, along with a 20-save performance from Sam Brittain, helped the Cyclones claim a 3-2 win over the Mallards in front of 2,422 at the iWireless Center.

Continuing the Trend: Forward Andrew Yogan has continued to excel at the pro level, especially when in the ECHL. He has notched points in each of his first three games with the Cyclones, which holds true to his career average. In 34 ECHL games, Yogan has earned 30 points (17g, 13a).

First Period Priority: While it wasn’t a perfect lock, the Cyclones were nearly unbeatable last season when holding the lead after 20 minutes of play. During the 2013-14 campaign, they amassed a 23-6-1-1 record. This season, they are two-for-two in such situations.
