SHOTS FROM THE POINT:

Opening the Home Slate: After claiming a 4-1 victory in Toledo, the Cyclones are set to open their 36-game regular season home slate this Saturday, October 25 against the Kalamazoo Wings for the 2014 First Face-Off. Cincinnati will unveil its 2014 Eastern Conference Championship banner prior to the contest. In addition, the first 5,000 fans will take home a limited edition Cyclones Magnet featuring the club's new logo. And all fans in attendance will be able to enjoy $1 John Morrell Hot Dogs, Donatos Pizza, and soda!

Three's Company: Joe Basaraba became just the third Cincinnati player since returning to ECHL play, and the first since 2008-09, to post three points in a season opener. Thomas Beauregard earned a hat trick that night in a 7-5 loss to Wheeling.

Picking Up Where He Left Off: Last year's Kelly Cup Playoffs MVP, Rob Madore, started his 2014-15 in strong fashion. His 35 saves on Saturday in Toledo were the most in a Cyclones season opener since the 2010-11 season when Marc Cheverie earned 37 at Elmira.

Cyclones Family Fun Night TONIGHT: Join us at Game Time Sports Bar and Grill (3613 Harrison Ave, Cheviot, OH 45211) for the first Cyclones Family Fun Night of the season! Meet the entire 2014-15 Cyclones team, play trivia, win prizes, and enjoy great food and drink specials from 7-8pm!
