Byron Froese Returns from San Antonio
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that forward Byron Froese has been returned to the club after being released from his professional try-out with the San Antonio Rampage.
Froese (PHRASE), 23, skated in three games with the Rampage this season and recorded two shots on goal.
The Winkler, Manitoba-native split time between the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) and Cincinnati last season. He finished with five points in 28 games for Rockford and tallied 11 goals and 10 assists in 25 games for the Cyclones. The 6-1, 190-pound center was especially effective in the playoffs, leading Cincinnati with eight goals and 17 assists in 28 games, helping the team to the Kelly Cup Finals. Froese has recorded 28 goals and 45 assists in 163 games as a pro.
The Cyclones will return for another season of hockey at U.S. Bank Arena this Saturday, October 25 when they play host to the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:30pm.
