Chet Pickard Recalled to AHL Milwaukee, Brady Calla Coming Back to Cincinnati
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that goaltender Chet Pickard has been reassigned to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. In an unrelated transaction, the Rochester Americans have assigned forward Brady Call to Cincinnati.
Pickard will make his second trip to the AHL this season after spending the first part of December with the Milwaukee Admirals. In his most-recent call-up, Nashville’s 2008 first-round draft choice went 1-1-0 with a 2.29 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. In 42 career games at the Triple-A level, the 21-year-old has earned a 15-20-4 record. This season with Cincinnati, Pickard has posted a 1-6-2 mark with a 3.62 goal-against average.
Calla, a Florida Panthers third-round draft choice in 2006, returns to Cincinnati for the second time this season. In five games with the Cyclones earlier this year, the Kelowna, British Columbia native has tallied one assist. With the Rochester Americans this season, Calla has posted four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 14 games.
Cincinnati will escape the winter weather, for one week at least, as they travel to Estero, Florida for a three-game series against the Everblades beginning Wednesday night at 7:30pm.
The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday, January 12 when they welcome in the Kalamazoo Wings for a 7:30pm face-off. It will be another Wet Wednesday, where fans can purchase $1 PBR and Miller High Life all night long. Discounted ticket packages and single game tickets for the 2010-2011 season are available now.
